Higher education in India is currently undergoing a significant transition, marked by a state of flux attributable to various factors.

In an increasingly interconnected global landscape, characterized by technological advancements and the pervasive influence of social media, students’ aspirations transcend geographical boundaries. Their decisions regarding choice of course, preferred location, and institution for academic pursuits are no longer confined within the borders of India.

In contemporary India, the selection of an educational institute is predominantly driven by the prospects of industry placements. The emergence of technology-driven education companies offering a plethora of cutting-edge programs, coupled with the proliferation of niche institutions and universities, has introduced a sense of ambiguity and indecisiveness among students. Additionally, the accessibility of affordable bank loans for pursuing foreign education has further fueled this paradigm shift in the selection process of educational institutions.

While many perceive these developments as beneficial for the future of students, it is evident that a sense of confusion and chaos pervades the minds of educationists, faculty, parents, and students alike. in spite of institutions focusing and investing in quality education.

EFT 2024, going forward, will be the Platform to discuss these challenges at the highest level by the Leaders of the Institutions and key stakeholders to collectively reform and implement solutions in the favour of Institution and Students.

It is important for the think tank to collaborate to redesign the Education environment, structure, systems and practices, to bring in stability and a futuristic Education Ecosystem. This will prepare Institutions to be competent and deliver world class Education and attract students globally to state of Karnataka.
